Last week, I shared a Guide to Selling with Generative AI.
For most people, ChatGPT or some other Generative AI tool (Gemini, Copilot, etc) was the starting point when it came to experiencing the power of AI.
But your ability to implement this technology properly is key it being a useful tool in your sales process.
And that’s what AI is - another tool at your disposal should you choose to learn how to use it.
And when it comes to Generative AI, a few very big things have happened in the last 6 months that are worth paying attention to.
New products, features, and possibilities.
One of the most anticipated announcements from OpenAI was the public release of OpenAI's Sora.
Sora is a Generative AI tool for video creation and the results are incredible.
And while Sora may not necessarily be a sales tool, ChatGPT has released A LOT of new features that you should know about:
OpenAI o1 - a new model introduced by ChatGPT that introduces more advanced reasoning than the more popularly known GPT models. As of today, there is also an o3 model available to ChatGPT paid users. They have recently planned to pull back on o3 and refocus on GPT5.
ChatGPT Canvas - a new way to edit documents and develop code within ChatGPT. Open up a canvas and experience a more advanced interface to interact with documents or code.
ChatGPT Projects - a new way to group files and chats, simplifying the management of work that involves multiple chats related to a similar subject.
Apple Intelligence Integration - you can now access ChatGPT responses directly through Siri. Tell Siri to "Ask ChatGPT" for more complex inquires.
ChatGPT Tasks - Now, you can schedule ChatGPT to perform recurring tasks and send reminders. This is a major oversimplification of this powerful new feature. For context, I have it updating me on weekly AI news, helping with daily LinkedIn posts, and giving me ideas for fun things to do on the weekend based on the weather.
ChatGPT Operator - this could be the biggest update we've seen since ChatGPT was released. It likely needs its own article, but this is the brand new Agentic AI feature for ChatGPT Pro users.
You NEED to go and watch the 4 minute video on their page to see what this is all about.
The craziest part, this list could be longer and all of this happened in the last 6 months...
And that’s not even diving into what is going on with Grok, Gemini, Perplexity, and others.
So if you thought AI was slowing down in 2025, you might want to think again.
But I’ll be here along the way to help you get ahead of the curve and stay there.
