Imagine an employee who's a master of every skill in the human workforce, working tirelessly 24/7 at lightning speed. Sounds like a dream, right? Every business owner would jump at the chance to hire such a worker. So, why am I hesitating to embrace AI agents?
The Allure of AI Agents
Internally, my company could benefit from AI agents. Sign me up! Even though AI might fumble through tasks initially, having a starting point is better than starting from scratch. And then, there's Elevenlab's AI voice agents capable of holding real-time conversations. Sounds futuristic and exciting!
The Hesitation: Customer-Facing Roles
However, when it comes to customer-facing roles, my enthusiasm wanes. Sure, automated customer service is efficient, but there's something invaluable about the human touch in representing your business. AI might sound human, but can it truly capture the essence of your brand?
The Trust Factor
Here's my concern: I don't trust AI to discuss my business with the precision it requires. While humans can be inconsistent, they offer a logic and adaptability that machines struggle to replicate. We can coach and provide feedback to humans, a luxury we don't have with AI.
